Arrests

A resident of Grant Street, Hempstead, was arrested on Oct. 17 and charged with burglary after an investigation at Molloy College.

The next day, a resident of Gardiners Avenue, Levittown, was arrested and charged with conducting a speed contest and VTL violations after an investigation on Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

In the same case, another resident, of Bruce Street, Franklin Square, was arrested and charged with conducting a speed contest and VTL violations.

The same day, a resident of Oceanside Parkway, Oceanside, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and VTL violations after an investigation on Arlington Avenue, Rockville Centre.

A resident of Harrison Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested on Oct. 19 and charged with assault after an investigation at her residence.

A resident of W. Merrick Road, Freeport, was arrested on Oct. 21 and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after an investigation on S. Park Avenue, Rockville Centre.

According to detectives, officers responded to a fight at 688 Woodfield Road, Lakeview on Oct. 22. Upon arrival, a resident of Culvert Street, Hempstead, was observed holding a knife to a resident of Evans Avenue, Hempstead, causing multiple lacerations to her face.

Officers ordered the suspect to drop the knife and placed her into custody. The victim was transported by a Nassau County ambulance and treated at a local hospital. The suspect was also treated for a lcareation to her left middle finger. During the investigation it was discovered that the victim had an open warrant for menacing from another incident that occurred on Sept. 27, 2012.

The suspect is being charged with two counts of assault and possession of a dangerous weapon. The victim is being charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.

A resident of N. Centre Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested on Oct. 25 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operation after an investigation by police at Wellington Street and N. Centre Avenue.
