Art exhibit — photographer Martin Scmidt
The Madison Theatre at Molloy College is displaying the artwork of Marty Schmidt. This photographic artist has the natural ability to transform ordinary photography into prismatic works of art by recreating selected pieces to reflect his personal expressions of color. The exhibit will run from Oct. 1 through Oct. 31 and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Concert organist at St. Agnes Cathedral
As an organist, Martin Baker is much in demand all over the world. Performing regularly in the Uinted Kingdom, he has recently given concerts in France, Holland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, the USA, and Russia. The concert will take place on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. The suggested donation is $10 and $15. Those interested in learning more can call St. Agnes Cathedral at (516) 764-9578, ext. 203.
Village Art Club meeting
The Village Art Club welcoming accomplished artist and teacher Howard Rose, who will demonstrate an oil landscape painting on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at 7 PM in the downstairs meeting room of the Rockville Centre Public Library, 221 N. Village Av., Rockville Centre. Mr. Rose has published articles in various art magazines and his work is shown in various art galleries. The meeting is free and is open to the public. Blood drive at Mercy Medical
Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre invites and encourages members of the community to participate in a Blood Drive to support Long Island Blood Services to be held on Wednesday, October 31st from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the first floor of the St. Anne’s building on the hospital campus.
