Rockville Centre lawyer named managing partner of Cullen and Dykman, LLP

Cullen and Dykman, LLP selected Christopher Palmer of Rockville Centre as its new managing partner, effective July 1. Palmer takes over as managing partner from Thomas J. Douglas, Jr., who will remain with the firm.

“I am excited and honored to follow in Tom’s footsteps and accept this responsibility,” said Palmer. “I look forward to assuming the firm’s management while continuing the tremendous growth we have experienced under Tom’s leadership. We will continue to emphasize outstanding service and value to our clients as our main priority.”

As managing partner, Palmer will oversee the continuing expansion of the firm’s core areas. He serves as a commercial banking attorney. Over the course of his career, Palmer has represented a number of financial institutions, and specialized in structuring and negotiating a wide range of complex commercial and real estate financing transactions. 

Palmer began his career with Bleakley Platt Remsen Millham and Curran in 1994 and became partner in 1999. In 2003, Bleakley Platt merged with Cullen and Dykman, a firm that traces its roots to 1850. With more than 160 attorneys, Cullen and Dykman is the largest law firm headquartered on Long Island. It is located in Garden City.

Palmer received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 1994 and his B.A. from SUNY Binghamton in 1991. He is married with three children. He served as lead counsel to the Rockville Centre Board of Zoning Appeals until recently. He is also Co-Chair of the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception Golf Committee and is active in alumni affairs for Chaminade High School.
