The South Side High School Varsity volleyball team traveled to the Division Avenue High School in Levittown on Sept. 7. Seven teams from around the island were there, and without giving up one game the entire day, the Lady Cyclones ended the day as tournament champions. They repeated the same impressive record a week later at Herricks High School, where the Lady Cyclones battled 11 other teams from around the island and again, without giving up one game all day, ended as the Herricks Volleyball Tournament champions.
