Just days after making her relationship social media official, actress and comedian Amy Schumer released on Instagram last week that she has married chef Chris Fischer.

Schumer, 36, a 1999 graduate of South Side High School, posted a photo on Feb. 11 of she and Fischer kissing in a photo booth at Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party. Four days later, she made the big announcement, sharing images of the seaside wedding in Malibu, California, which was reportedly attended by Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld, Jennifer Lawrence and Jennifer Aniston.

The stand-up comedian has garnered more fame in recent years with the help of her sketch comedy series “Inside Amy Schumer,” which debuted on Comedy Central in 2013. She also wrote and starred in the film “Trainwreck,” receiving nominations for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical.

Fischer, 37, has worked as a chef at Babbo, a high-end restaurant in New York City, and in 2016 won the James Beard Award for his book, “The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha’s Vineyard.”

Breaking new ground in her career, Schumer’s Broadway run of “Meteor Shower” opened last November. Now, she is starring in a new film called “I Feel Pretty,” which is set to premiere on

April 27.

Shortly after posting the wedding photos, she said on Instagram, “No, I’m not pregnant” and insisted she didn’t want any gifts. “Instead please consider (a) donation to Everytown for Gun Safety,” wrote Schumer, highlighting the movement to end gun violence.
