Nassau County police arrested a Lido Beach man on Tuesday who was making a delivery in Rockville Centre after he allegedly struck another man with his truck.

Eric Grossman, 53, delivered $600 in plants to the home of a 45-year-old man on Driscoll Avenue on Sunday at about 1:45 p.m., according to detectives. When the man requested a receipt, Grossman refused and an argument ensued, police said.

He then allegedly struck the unnamed victim with his truck, causing him to jump on the hood. Grossman continued to drive as the man fell off and suffered multiple injuries, according to police. Grossman fled the scene. The Rockville Centre man was transported to a local hospital for treatment. It is unclear what Grossman was delivering to the man, or what company he may work for.

Grossman was charged with first-degree assault, leaving the scene of an accident with serious physical injury and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon. He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
