Hundreds took to the street for the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce’s highly anticipated fifth annual Eat Shop Rock street festival last Sunday.

About 80 local businesses were on display, as village residents and visitors from nearby communities browsed the many offerings. “We only allow Rockville Centre businesses to participate in the event, and that’s what makes this a unique experience,” Chamber President Chris Acheson told the Herald.

Around the attendees, a party rocked. Two stages provided an array of entertainment, including performances by bands from School of Rock and dancers from Miss Colleen’s Elite Dancentre.

“The event really demonstrates what the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce is all about,” Acheson said. “Connecting the local businesses in town to the residents.”
