Professional Physical Therapy cut the ribbon on its 146th location. Office therapists at the new office, located at 1465 Broadway in Hewlett, were also presented with a citation from Nassau County at the ceremony, on Nov. 14.

The company has locations sprinkled throughout the northeast including 13 in Nassau County. Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, PTT treats a range of patients from amputees to people with arthritis.

Open since July, the Hewlett location is one of the roughly 30 locations that have therapists that specialize in restoring hand function. Richard Scalise, the clinical director of hand therapy for the offices in Hewlett and Rockville Centre said, “We’ve received a lot of support from the community.”

Scalise grew up in Valley Stream and is excited to become a larger part of the South Shore community. “It’s a hometown feel,” he said. “Folks often know us and our reputation.”
