South Side Middle School’s Drama Club delighted audiences this weekend with two performances of “Seussical Jr.” on May 4 and 5.
The play wove together some of Dr. Seuss’s most popular and beloved characters and stories, telling the tale of a tiny Who named JoJo and an Elephant named Horton, who both feel alone in the universe but develop an unlikely friendship.
From accounts of mischievous monkeys and the Sour Kangaroo to birds of every feather and the Cat in the Hat, the story was full of important messages for everyone from “the smallest of the small to the tallest of the tall.”
