South Side students inducted into New York State Science Honor Society

South Side High School recently recognized the 48 students who were inducted into the New York State Science Honor Society on Oct. 29.

The honor society is endorsed by the New York State Science Supervisors Association and the New York State Assembly, and its purpose is to encourage an interest and an understanding of science and science-related careers, as well as to recognize the academic achievement in science of high school students.

Students who are inducted into the science honor society have demonstrated achievement in science learning, are service-minded and present excellent personal character. School officials and teachers congratulated the students.
