Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and local businesses around town are getting ready to spread the love to residents looking to treat their special someone, or themselves. Whether you want to gift a traditional bouquet of roses, dine in an upscale restaurant at an affordable price or splurge on some much-needed self-care, the business owners of Sea Cliff and Glen Head will make your heart soar with special Valentine’s Day deals and discounts.

Beautiful Flowers
Beautiful Flowers Floristry in Glen Head is a one-stop shop for all things floral this Valentine’s Day. Sisters Christina DeNovellis and Vivian Cimmino, who work at the shop, pride themselves on their attention to detail in creating one-of-a-kind designs for their customers.
“We spend a lot of time listening to our customers to give them what they want and make them happy, and that is what makes us special,” DeNovellis said. “We service our clients, and we’ll be servicing them during Valentine’s Day for all they need.”

Cimmino said the shop has an enormous array of flowers from all around the world for customers to include in their individualized designs. “These flowers are of exceptional quality, they’re all handpicked and the designs are always gorgeous and beautiful,” she added. DeNovellis said the shop also has forever roses available for sale in a variety of colors. “They’re the most unique blossoms in town,” Cimmino said.
While most florists hike up their prices for the holiday, DeNovellis said the shop would keep the prices the same. She also mentioned that residents should place their Valentine’s Day orders as early as possible to get the best selection.

Glamour Salon
This will be Glamour’s first Valentine’s Day servicing the community, and owner Katherine Reyes said she was excited to help residents get glamorous for the holiday. “We want to invite people to take part in the specials,” she said. “It’s a good moment to go to the salon, and we want to give these services to the community so they can feel special.”
The salon will offer a 10 percent discount on the following services this Valentine’s Day: haircut and blow dry, single process and blow dry and makeup application. Reyes will also offer $200 hair-by-hair eyelash extensions — which normally cost $250 — from her custom eyelash line. Complimentary wine will be served.
This week, guests who spend more than $150 at the salon and mention “Herald” at their appointment will receive a complimentary blow out and deep conditioner treatment at their next visit.

My Beautiful Mess
If you’re looking for a more spiritual experience this Valentine’s Day, head to Sea Cliff’s latest antique shop, My Beautiful Mess. The store is hosting clairvoyant practitioner Tori Quisling, of Port Washington, to help visitors learn how to unlock and develop their own psychic abilities.
Quisling will offer fun ways to develop participants’ psychic tools to bring clarity to events they’ve experienced in their lives on Feb. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. She will also engage in a Q&A and sign copies of her book. Refreshments will be served.
Owner Lisa Marchetti’s unique gifts are also up for grabs. CBD oils from Sea Cliff Sundries will be 20 percent off, and the store will have traditional teddy bears and chocolates for sale, as well as special treats for any four-legged friends in puppy love.

The dimly lit restaurant boasts a Carrera marble bar, exposed brick walls and restored high tin ceilings, creating an ambiance that is intimate and romantic while soft jazz music floats in the background.
Tavern is offering a sumptuous four-course meal at $75 a person, prepared by executive chef John Cicinelli. Some of the dishes include morel mushroom risotto, paella alla Valencia for two and black and white mousse cake.
“We’re looking forward to celebrating with diners, and we do appreciate our community,” said owner Antonia Zuccaro. Seatings are available at 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Diners who make a 5 p.m. reservation will receive a complimentary bottle of wine for the table.
