North Shore seniors showcase their skills

Every January and February, the Sea Cliff Arts Council coordinates two exhibits exclusively for North Shore High School students.

This month, seniors in the high school’s Independent Projects in Art exhibited their artwork at the village library. Council member Kathleen DiResta, a gallery owner, said the opening was a success.

“This exhibit features independent projects done by high school seniors, and we are happy to help showcase these very talented students,” she said.

The exhibits provide a unique opportunity, she added, not only for residents who view the artwork, but for the young artists themselves. “We’re happy to provide a platform for the community to see the high school student’s work,” she said. “It’s also a great experience for the students to exhibit in a space that’s separate from the high school.”

February’s show will feature work by North Shore High School’s photography students.
