Residents ‘Crawl for a Cause’ at local bars

Posted

The Crawl for a Cause is an annual pub and restaurant crawl that started 10 years ago as a way to help promote village businesses and the beach in the dead of winter.

The Coalition to Save Hempstead Harbor sponsored this year’s crawl. The non-profit dedicates its services to identifying and eliminating environmental threats to Hempstead Harbor and surrounding water bodies.

Locals and out-of-towners filled the streets of Sea Cliff to drink, be merry, and support local businesses. Crawlers picked up reusable souvenir mugs at the CSHH office, which contained breath mints, beads, and five tickets redeemable at restaurants.

The support from this year’s crawl will help CSHH continue its efforts to preserve and protect the harbor.
