Salute To Veterans Spectacular
Tony Orlando returns to headline Nassau County’s annual Salute To Veterans night at Eisenhower Park. The pop singer still keeps everyone groovin’ along to his crowd-pleasing hits from his “Dawn” days, including “Tie a Yellow Ribbon” and “Knock Three Times,” among others. The program begins with ceremony honoring veterans. The USO Liberty Bells, a 21-member troupe of dynamic Broadway and off-Broadway performers, open the show performing patriotic favorites.

Surround yourself with the vibrant colors — and birds — of the season on a guided tour at Muttontown Preserve. Walk through some of the preserve’s 550 acres explores thickets, small meadows and wetlands with a guide who will point to the variety of birds that reside there. Also be on the lookout for some of the other creatures that make their home at the preserve, including mammals and reptiles.
