Michael Ganci, the new editor of the Wantagh-Seaford Citizen.

My name is Michael Ganci, and I am the new editor of the Wantagh-Seaford Citizen.

I couldn’t be more excited to continue serving local news as it happens. This is not a new animal to me, as I spent the past four years working for Patch. In my time there, I covered Bellmore, Merrick, East Meadow, Wantagh and Seaford.

I’m very familiar with the Wantagh-Seaford area, being that I grew up in North Bellmore. I have covered local school districts, business stories, parades and I’ve been bowling at Wantagh Lanes for years.

I want to stress that I need the community’s help in providing the coverage that Wantagh-Seaford deserves. Have a big story tip? Let me know! You can email MGanci@LIHerald.com or call me at 516-569-4000, extension 354. A lot of my best stories have started with a simple call or email.

I look forward to getting the chance to meet you and serving the Wantagh-Seaford area. Thanks for reading the paper! Don’t forget to like us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/wantaghseafordcitizen and follow us on Twitter at https://twitter.com/WSHeraldCitizen.
