Seaford Chamber gives its sales pitch

The Seaford Chamber of Commerce hosted an open house on Oct. 23 at the firehouse. Business owners from across the community, whether or not they were Chamber members, were invited for free food and the learn more about the organization.

Ken Jacobsen, the immediate past president of the Chamber, said the goal was to build membership and cultivate new leadership. Julie Marchesella, president of the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce, also spoke.

The Seaford Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual Easter egg hunt, awards scholarships to Seaford High School graduates and places light-up holiday decorations around the community. It is made up of a variety of businesses from shops to restaurants to service professionals.
