WANTAGH: Sturniolo, Cucci unopposed in Wantagh

In Wantagh, two school board seats are open, and Ann-Marie Sturniolo and Michael Cucci are running unopposed.

Sturniolo has lived in Wantagh since 1980, and she is the mother of three Wantagh High School graduates and a past president of the Mandalay School PTA and the Wantagh Special Education PTA. She served for 10 years on the Board of Education, from 2002 to 2011, including a term as president.

Cucci has been a Wantagh resident since 1963, when he was a kindergartner at Forest Lake School. He has been on the board for 15 years and has served as its president four times.

Despite the lack of challengers, we encourage voters to show Sturniolo and Cucci their support.
