It was hard to miss the smell of popcorn, fried Oreos and zeppoles wafting up and down Jackson Avenue last week.
The St. William the Abbot Roman Catholic Church Family Festival was held from July 5 through 9. The fair has been a summer tradition in Seaford for 41 years.
The festival was held in the parking lot of the church, which turned 90 years old in 2017. Families spotted the bright lights on popular rides like the Zipper and the Ferris Wheel from blocks away.
The fair featured rides, games, food and nightly musical performances. Adults were also invited inside of the church for Las Vegas-themed activities.
Church leaders noted that the festival is a fundraiser for parish programming. Money was collected through a raffle drawing. Fairgoers had the chance to win dozens of prizes, including a 2017 Toyota Camry.
