This illegal “skimming” device was attached to a gas pump at the Gulf station at Merrick Avenue and Sunrise Highway, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Typically, such devices electronically steal credit or ATM card information. No cardholders’ accounts were compromised this time, police said.
