A Band Called Honalee
Those heady days of the 60s and 70s come alive in the form of the modern-day folk trio A Band Called Honalee, which visits the Madison Theatre with a tribute to the music of Peter, Paul & Mary and friends. The band — composed of Sarah Randall Hunt, Chris Ware and Eli Zoller — demonstrate their passion and enthusiasm for folk music with inventive arrangements that honor the past while bringing fresh take on these beloved songs. Their show also includes tunes by Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, The Mamas and the Papas, The Weavers, Judy Collins, and other folk/rock artists. Enjoy the era’s many hits, including “If I Had a Hammer,” “Blowing In The Wind,” “Puff The Magic Dragon,” “Leaving On A Jet Plane,” “The Times They Are A’Changin,” “I Dig Rock And Roll Music,” “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?,” “Both Sides Now,” “Mr. Tambourine Man,” and “California Dreamin’.”

Best of Broadway
Adelphi University’s Department of Music honors “Hammerstein & Sondheim” in the latest edition of its popular Best of Broadway series. The revue, directed by Michael Hume and accompanied by Adrienne Borbely, features Adelphi’s vocal and theater students performing some of Broadway’s great hits in a salute to these two giants of American musical theater. Hear those outstanding songs of the Great White Way, from Showboat and Oklahoma! to Sweeney Todd and Into the Woods.
