A 19-year-old man was lured to Lynbrook just before midnight last Saturday and robbed of his cell phone, belt, sneakers and car keys, Nassau County police reported. The trio of thieves took off in his Jeep Grand Cherokee.

According to 4th Squad detectives, the man parked his car on Lawrence Avenue, expecting to meet a woman. The 19-year-old woman he was meeting directed him to the front door of a home there, and then told him to go to the driveway.

Then, police said, a man suddenly appeared from behind a bush and pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the victim. The subject ordered the man to the corner of the house and told him to lie on the ground.

At that point, another man approached the victim, taking his car keys from his pocket and his cell phone from his hand, and demanded his designer belt, according to police. After taking the victim’s sneakers as well, the woman and the two men drove off in his Jeep. The victim ran to the Mill River Tavern, where he called police. No injuries were reported.

The stolen items included a 2006 black Grand Cherokee, a gold-colored iPhone, a pair of orange-and-brown-trimmed Balenciaga sneakers, and a designer belt with a large gold-colored letter ‘M’ belt buckle. The total amount of the loss was estimated at $30,650.

Police are seeking a heavy-set, 6-foot-tall black woman, age 20 to 25, who was wearing pink shorts and a black hoodie-style shirt. The second subject was described as a tall, thin black man, 20 to 25, armed with the silver handgun and wearing dark-colored shorts and a white hoodie-style shirt. The second man was of similar age and build, but was wearing a dark-colored hoodie-style shirt.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS.
