Attorney general honors Mepham senior

Posted

Before heading to college, one Mepham High School senior was honored by New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman.

Lindsey Fowler, a member of Mepham’s class of 2014, received the Triple C Award during a ceremony hosted by Schneiderman on Aug. 6. The Triple C Award recognizes students who have had outstanding academic achievements while showing courage, character and commitment.

Fowler, who was inducted into five honor societies and was a member of various student organizations during her time at Mepham, received the honor at the North Bellmore school in June. Schneiderman congratulated Fowler and the other 457 Triple C Award winners from Nassau County at a ceremony at Bethpage High School. He said the students stood out among their peers because of their scholastic achievements and service to others.

This fall Fowler will attend the University of Delaware, where she plans to major in business.
