Colts victorious at Calhoun Homecoming

Posted

The crisp autumn day of Oct. 24 proved just right for Calhoun High School’s Homecoming.

Friends enjoyed one another’s company after school; students, parents and siblings, faculty and staff, and alumni took in the festivities and articulated their school spirit; clubs raised funds and attention for their causes; cheerleaders performed routines; the Calhoun Colts shut out the Westbury High School Green Dragons, a conference opponent, 13-0; and Colts Country, the alliteratively labeled home bleachers, roared.

The Colts owed their win, in part, to the foot of Eric Rawson, who made two field goals and began the game with a successful onside kick that seven plays later set up the Colts’ sole touchdown, MSG Varsity reported. They are now 4-3 this season and next face the undefeated Carey High School Seahawks on Saturday.
