Mangano has the edge for county executive
(Page 3 of 3)
Ed Mangano

But Mangano has learned from his mistakes, and grown in the job. Strengthening the county’s economy with more jobs, and more people paying sales taxes, is the only way we see out of the county’s fiscal problems. In the current political environment, we feel that Mangano has a better shot at getting Nassau moving forward again. Although he has room for improvement, the Herald recommends a vote for Mangano on Tuesday.

By not identifying the person who sends a lot of his mailers out, they have actually violated the campaign finance and election laws of New York State. Someone needs to expose this.

Mangano in consolidating police precincts saved $20 million, however the overtime rose to over $50 million more than previous years so actually the savings was consumed by the overtime and then some.

The problem with this endorsement is it is not made from facts but more fiction. The county under Mangano is close to bankruptcy so how this paper can endorse him is beyond the pale. And I love the line that say and there in a nutshell is the tale of the two county executives because we do now more than ever need a visionary someone who believes he can get us out of this mess.

I agree. Mangano is the way to go. He has made mistakes but let's face it Suozzi is all ego and could care less about Nassau residents. He's looking for the next gig and county executive is it. Then he'll move on to bigger and better. Do you recall his run for govenor in 2007? How many people know that he stuffed NYC political hacks into Nassau patronage jobs to curry favor with NYC democrats because upstate democrats wanted nothing to do with him. All at the expense of Nassau taxpayers. The county will be much better off without Suozzi 2.0. He may be a big picture thinker but the big picture is him, not Nassau.
