Incident at Park Avenue and Pacific Boulevard under investigation

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Park Avenue and Pacific Boulevard on Thursday morning, the Long Beach Fire Department said.
The incident occurred at 6:35 a.m. and emergency responders closed all westbound lanes of traffic between Maple and Neptune boulevards, saying that the area is a crime scene and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
