On Monday, the Nassau County Police Department released a security-camera image of the man who, they say, robbed a TD Bank at 2260 Merrick Road two weeks earlier in Merrick.

On the afternoon of Nov. 24, police reported that a man stole cash at 9:53 a.m. that morning from the bank via a demand note that he handed to a teller. Fourteen days later, police released the video image. They also revised their estimate of his height — originally 6-feet to 6-feet-2-inches tall, now 5-feet-11 inches to 6-feet tall.

Authorities did not reveal how much money the robber took. Witnesses described him as a 20- to 30-year-old white man wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, sunglasses and a wool winter cap “with a snowflake design,” according to police. There were six TD Bank employees and four customers inside the bank. No one was hurt, police said.

The robber ran east on Merrick Road and then north into the parking lot of the CVS at 2291 Merrick Road in Merrick, according to authorities. Detectives asked that anyone with information about this crime call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. Callers will remain anonymous.
