Police searching for two in robbery

Two males told police that they were robbed while walking through a parking lot at the Green Acres Mall on Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.

The victims, ages 25 and 16, said they were approached by two unknown males who said they had a gun and demanded their property. After the suspects took two iPhones, a pair of headphones and an undetermined amount of cash, the suspects reportedly fled toward the mall’s entrance near Sunrise Highway. No weapon was displayed, police said, and no injuries were reported.

Both suspects were described as 18 years old. One was described as black-skinned, 6-foot-2, 160 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white sneakers. The other was described as having a dark complexion and a heavy build.
