Route announced for Wantagh Snowball Run

The Wantagh Chamber of Commerce has announced the route for its upcoming Snowball Run. Residents and motorists should expect road closures beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12.

The five-mile race begins at Wantagh Middle School. Runners will head north on Daffodil Lane, east on Jerusalem Avenue, south and then north on Wantagh Avenue. The race then enters the side streets at Flower Road, to Hawthorne Drive South, Roger Drive, Martin Drive, Gaston Street, Manchester Road, Briard Street and Lufberry Avenue. Participants then cross over to Beltagh Avenue, with the race ending at the school.An awards ceremony follows.
