South Bellmore Civic to host first meeting of 2015 on Wednesday

Posted

The South Bellmore Civic Association is inviting all members of the community to come to its first meeting of 2015 tomorrow.

Alison Frankel, a Judith Drive resident, founded the SBCA nearly two years ago. Since its first meeting in February 2013, members have taken part in community cleanups, planting projects and beautification initiatives around the neighborhood. This year, the group will host four meetings.

The first meeting of 2015 will be held on Wednesday, March 4 at 7 p.m. Residents will gather in the community room of the Bellmore Memorial Library to hear about the growth of local businesses, New York Rising programs and civic advocacy efforts.

The meeting will also feature a guest speaker. Erin King Sweeney, the new Town of Hempstead council member who now represents south Bellmore, will talk to residents.
