Temple Israel of Lawrence, a reform Jewish synagogue, will partner with the Russell Sage First Presbyterian Church of Far Rockaway for the 96th interfaith Thanksgiving service tonight at 7 p.m.

The service, which will include the Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island, other congregations and dignitaries, will offer prayers and expressions of condolences in solidarity with the families of the four rabbis and the police officer murdered in Israel last week.

"In this way, together we will fulfill a great mitzvah and exhibit to all our profound sense of grief and loss at this heinous and unconscionable act," said Rabbi Jay Rosenbaum, spiritual leader of Temple Israel.

Temple Israel is located at 140 Central Ave. in Lawrence.
