Three men, including two Malverne residents, were arrested Wednesday for possession and intent to sell narcotics, Nassau Police told the Herald on Friday.

At 4:20 p.m. on October 12, Sean Kelly, 38, and Michael Kelly, 47, both of Malverne, and Frank Kossefis, 26, of Floral Park were riding in a 2016 red Jeep traveling on Sunrise Highway when they were pulled over by the Lynbrook Police.

Upon examination of the vehicle, Sean Kelly was found to be in possession of what was believed to be crack cocaine. Upon further examination, a plastic bag containing what police believed to be heroin was found on the rear floor of the car. None of the three men admitted to possessing the bag, and all three were arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges, Nassau police said. The quantity of drugs in their possession was not specified by the authorities.

Sean Kelly pleaded not guilty, is being held on $50,000 bail and is represented by the Legal Aid Society, which does not comment on cases. Kossefis was being held on $60,000 bail and also pleaded not guilty. His attorney’s information was not available. Information on Michael Kelly’s arrest was also not readily available.

All three men have a history of prior arrests for narcotics and other charges. Earlier this year, Michael Kelly was arrested for a Valley Stream home burglary on Molyneaux Road.
