What is the Lynbrook PBA?

Posted

The Lynbrook Police Benevolent Association Inc. is comprised of the hard working, loyal and dedicated police officers and supervisors that work for the Lynbrook Police Department.

Much like the department they serve, they are a service- oriented association that provides guidance and protection to its members and residents. They share the same goal as all of the Lynbrook residential and business community — and that is to keep Lynbrook a happy, safe and thriving community now and for generations to come.

To make a donation to the organization, or to notify the PBA of an upcoming community event that they may want to be involved with, contact the Lynbrook PBA at (516) 418-3399 or at P.O. Box 509, Lynbrook, N.Y. 11563

And don’t jaywalk!

The Lynbrook Police Department will be enforcing New York State vehicle and traffic violations for pedestrians as well as violations by drivers against pedestrians within the Incorporated Village of Lynbrook during the next few weeks. This is in coordination with the New York State Patrol Traffic Safety Grant.

This grant so far has targeted safety belt use, speeding, aggressive drivers, and now pedestrian safety. The LPD wants to stress to everyone the importance of using crosswalks, crossing with proper traffic signals, and also the need for drivers to yield the right of way to pedestrians.
