BA Djibril Ngawa
A solo exhibit by the West African artist. Photographs and paintings inspired by the shapes, colors, traditions and nature that surrounded Ngawa during his childhood in Mauritania. Through July 30. Enduring Images
An exhibition, drawn from Hofstra University Museum’s permanent collections, that focuses on the lasting record created by an artist’s visual responses to critical moments in time. Yonia Fain, a Holocaust survivor considered a “witness to history,” is represented, along with artists such as George Grosz, Käthe Kollwitz, and Jacob Lawrence. Through Jan. 31.
