About 150 residents and elected officials came out on April 29th as the Habana Hut Station cigar store celebrated its grand opening in Lynbrook.

The Habana Hut Station, owned by Martin Garelick and Jeffrey Ritholtz, is located at 45C Atlantic Ave., just under the Lynbrook Train Station. The shop “combines a cigar smokers oasis with the old world rail system,” according to its official website.

The hut sells premium cigars and accessories such as lighters and cutters. A coffee and espresso bar is among the amenities at the new store, which has eight TVs where guests can watch sporting events.

At the grand opening, some customers sat and relaxed on couches inside the store, while others posted up at tables outside. Lynbrook Mayor William Hendrick, members of his board of trustees, Legislator William Gaylor and Assemblyman Brian Curran were among the distinguished guests.

The Habana Hut Station is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
