The Malverne Chamber of Commerce kicked off their third annual ArtWalk in the village last Saturday with an opening reception at the Malverne Public Library. Chamber members, along with some of this year’s featured artists, gathered at the library to celebrate its local artists and photographers. Several paintings and photographs were on display at the library.
Nearly 100 works of art created by more than 30 artists is on display in almost 50 village businesses. Artists from across Long Island got to showcase their work, ranging from photographs to sculptures, paintings, pencil drawings and more. Free maps detailing the location of all the artwork were made available at village businesses.
The exhibition will run through June 21 during regular business hours, and much of the art will be for sale.
