Wantagh children had the chance to get creative at the library last week.
The children’s department organized a bubble-painting program for youngsters on Aug. 23. Patrons gathered on the front lawn of the library, on Park Avenue, to get their hands wet and create unique works of art.
To make bubble paintings, library leaders helped kids mix paint with water and washing-up liquid. Youngsters laughed before blowing into the mixture with a straw to create large, colorful bubbles.
Children were told to place the paper over the bubbles to take a print. They proudly displayed their work at the end of the class.
