Brooklyn man arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at cars at Lynbrook train station

A Brooklyn man was arrested in Lynbrook on Monday for allegedly throwing rocks at cars on Peninsula Boulevard from the village’s Long Island Rail Road station platform.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, Lynbrook police officers responded to a 911 call about the incident on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Upon arrival, the officers observed Titus Garcia, 30, on the south platform. According to a release from Nassau police, Garcia ran away from the officers after noticing them, and was tracked down by police soon after.

Garcia is allegedly responsible for causing $2,500 worth of damage to a 2018 Infinity, $750 worth of damage to a 2017 Mercedes Benz and $500 worth of damage to a 2007 BMW.


Garcia is charged with second-degree criminal mischief, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief and reckless endangerment. He was due to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday.
