Celebrate Eight Crazy Nights — virtually — with the Friedberg JCC in Oceanside

Posted

The Friedberg JCC was set to launch its inaugural Friedberg Hanukkah Friend-a-thon on Thursday.

The virtual festivities are an eightnight fundraiser designed to bring joy, laughter, art, music, culinary fun and dance to the community as everyone comes together virtually to celebrate the miracle of Hanukkah.

Opening night, on Dec. 10, was scheduled to feature a performance by comedian Warren Schein on at 7 p.m. The following nights will include a ballroom dance performance, a Zumba party to burn off those latkes, a paint-and-sip night, a rainbow latkes cooking night with Chef Paula of “Cooking with Stars,” a Lego building challenge, and children’s and special- needs group performances.

It’s a celebration of giving as well. As part of the JCC’s Year End Appeal initiative, donations in any amount will go to support the vital services and programs that serve the community all year long. It is one of the JCC’s most-important fundraisers. A donation can be made at friedbergjcc.org/giving.
