Cops: Franklin Square man sent ‘inappropriate’ messages to teenager

A Franklin Square man was arrested on Nov. 11 for allegedly sending inappropriate text messages to a 14-year-old he tutored, Nassau County police report.

According to detectives, Eric Mordhorst, 67, was working as a music tutor for the teenager for a year, during which time Mordhorst sent the teenager several inappropriate text messages. Mordhorst was arrested at his home without incident.

He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and is due to appear at the First District Court in Hempstead on Nov. 15.
