Arrests

A 26-year-old from Lake Grove was arrested on April 30 at 2:27 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, falsely reporting an incident, obstructing governmental administration and assaulting a police officer on Carpenter Avenue.

On April 30 at 3:43 p.m., a 25-year-old from Jamaica, Queens was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument, leaving the scene of an accident with an injury and no license on Vincent Avenue.

At 3:48 p.m. on April 30, a 26-year-old male from Springfield Gardens, Queens was arrested and charged with an open New York City warrant on Vincent Avenue.

A 35-year-old female from St. Albans, Queens was arrested on May 1 at 9:29 a.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator, using a mobile phone while driving, failure to signal a lane change and no seat belt on Sunrise Highway.

A 30-year-old from Hempstead, was arrested on May 2 at noon and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and no inspection on Peninsula Boulevard.

A 26-year-old male from Elmont was arrested on May 3 at 7:48 p.m. and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operator and no inspection on Ocean Avenue.

On May 6 at 2:20 a.m., a 32-year-old from Hempstead was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated on Merrick Road.

Robbery

A man reported that on April 28 at 11 p.m., while he was staying at the Capri Motor Inn, an unknown black man who was about 6-foot tall, between the ages of 25 and 40 years of age and weighing approximately 200 pounds with brown eyes, a mustache and who was wearing dark sweatpants and a black skull cap entered his room and punched him several times in the face then stole his wallet, which had $60 in it, and left the room in an unknown direction.

Public lewdness

A woman reported that on May 2 at 7:50 a.m., an unknown Hispanic man who was around 40-years-old with black hair, a medium build, a beard and dark clothing pulled up to the bus stop at the intersection of Noble Street and Hempstead Avenue in his dark S.U.V. and asked her several times for directions to Sunrise Highway. She then observed the man exposing himself inside the vehicle. The suspect then drove southbound on Hempstead Avenue.
