Crime watch: Lynbrook, East Rockaway

On March 7 at 2:22 a.m., a 35 year old man from Lynbrook was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator and a lane violation on Union Avenue.

A 39-year-old Lynbrook man was arrested on March 7 at 9:05 p.m. and charged with possession of cocaine on Lyon Place.

At 3:10 p.m. on March 9, a 51 year old woman from Hempstead was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, false personation, operating with no insurance, suspended registration, improper plates, unregistered motor vehicle, operating out of class, speeding, uninspected vehicle and an open Nassau County warrant on Peninsula Boulevard.

A 26 year old woman from Uniondale was arrested on March 10 at 8:05a.m. and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlicensed operator, obstructed view and improper plate display on Peninsula Boulevard.

On March 11 at 6:25 p.m., a 23 year old man from Brooklyn was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, unlawful possession of marijuana and following too closely on Sunrise Highway.

A 35 year old Woodmere man was arrested on March 15 at 5:42 p.m. and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance (heroin and amphetamines) and resisting arrest on Merrick Road.

A 26 year old man from South Ozone Park, Queens was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and possession of marijuana on Merrick Road.

A 41 year old Baldwin man was arrested on March 19 at 10:29 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence of alcohol and aggravated unlicensed operator on Sunrise Highway.

Criminal Mischief

Between the hours of 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. on March 19, a Lynbrook resident reports than a suspect used a sharp object to damage the trunk and both windshields of a 2013 Nissan Altima, causing $800 in damages, and the windshield and hood of a 2012 Ford Escape, causing $400 in damages. Both vehicles were parked in a driveway on Lancaster Street.
