Arrests
A 35-year-old Oceanside man was arrested on April 24 at 4:30 p.m. and charged with six counts of possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance on Denton Avenue.
On April 27 at 12:30 a.m., a 28-year-old man from Valley Stream was arrested and charged with an open warrant on Westminster Road.
A 21-year-old Queens man was arrested on Merrick Road and charged with possession of marijuana.
Automobile accident
On April 25 at 8:10 p.m. a pedestrian crossing Broadway at Eldert Street was struck by a grey minivan that was traveling southbound on Broadway. A white male operated the vehicle. The pedestrian suffered injuries to his left wrist and leg.
