Children ran as fast and looked as hard as they could to collect as many eggs as possible at the annual Easter Egg Roll at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Hewlett on April 15.
Easter, which was celebrated last Sunday, is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It is recounted in the New Testament as having happened on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans in 30 AD.
