Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway High School names valedictorian and salutatorian

Amanda Vaysman and Abigail Goldberg are the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway High School’s class of 2019.

Vaysman is very much involved in both her scholastic and local communities. She is president of the Deah Chapter of the National Honor Society, as well as co-president of Yeshiva University National Model United Nations and has been an active participant in the Jewish Unity Mentoring Program through the National Congregation of Synagogue Youth and Yachad.

Since 2015, she has conducted her own unique research in HAFTR’s Science and Engineering Institute. Vaysman has also volunteered at South Brooklyn Medical Plaza and Seagirt Medical Plaza. She will attend New York Institute of Technology as a student in the Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Osteopathy Program.

Goldberg is involved with the Torah Bowl, and math teams, I-Shine, Tomchei Shabbos, Model UN, and more. She is traveling abroad to study at Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim in Israel, and then will be part of the Honors Program at Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women.
