Fair Late village leader to be honored

Malverne resident Peg Paone was recently selected as this year's recipient of the Woodmen of the World Lodge 467's Community Leader Award.
Paone died on July 29 after a battle with lymphoma.
The organization will honor Paone for her many years of volunteerism in the village. Paone was active in the Malverne Historical Society, Malverne Civic Association as well as Our Lady of Lourdes Church, among other organizations.
Woodmen of the World Lodge 467, a fraternal benefit society, will honor Paone's memory during its third annual awards dinner on Oct. 22 at the Coral House in Baldwin.
