For the 12th consecutive year, Lawrence High School’s DECA Club was represented at the DECA International Career Conference. At this year’s conference in Anaheim from April 25-30, sophomores Massimo Cancelliere and Harrison Kim competed in the Fashion Merchandising Promotion Plan category.

“Making it to this level as sophomores is a great accomplishment,” said Lawrence High business teacher and DECA adviser Mark Albin. “I look forward to seeing them build upon this success as the road to Atlanta 2018 officially begins [now].”

Albin said that Cancelliere and Kim “are great kids who are great to work with,” and he anticipates being more successful next school year with several strong underclassman returning. “I met with the eighth-graders during orientation and there seem to be some promising prospects as well,” Albin said. “This is a very exciting time for Lawrence DECA.”
