Karaoke, swimming and video games were some of the activities featured at the 11th annual Teen Nite Out on April 28.

The event, which was organized by Long Beach AWARE — a coalition dedicated to preventing underage drinking — was a substance-free alternative for a “nite out” for teens.

High school students from the Long Beach school district took part in the fun and games with their classmates. The evening also featured free food, bubble soccer, foosball and pillo hockey. The event was funded by a grant from the Silvian Foundation.
