Longtime Rockville Centre resident passes away

Long time Rockville Centre resident Terrence M. O’Grady, 77, died on March 7.

A Long Island native, he was married to Helen A. O'Grady for 49 years.

He worked for the Grumman Aerospace Corporation as an aerospace engineer for more than 30 years before retiring in 1994. Before his employment at Grumman, he worked at Sperry Aerospace in a similar role.

A flying and golf enthusiast, O’Grady saw active duty in the U.S. Army and retired as a captain in the reserves in 1965. He also spent many volunteer hours for Mercy Medical Center and as a lector and eucharistic minister for St. Agnes Cathedral.

In addition to his wife, O’Grady is survived by his sons Terry and Chris, his sister Mary, five grandchildren, Emma, Casey, Bobby, Logan and Harry, as well as many nieces and nephews.
