Man stabbed with broken bottles on Merrick Road in Valley Stream

Nassau County police are investigating an incident in which a man was injured at a Shell gas station at 100 W. Merrick Road in Valley Stream on Aug. 2 at around 3:30 am.

According to detectives, a Third Precinct officer found a 25-year-old male victim lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds to his head, neck, arms and chest. Detectives report that a Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition.

Nassau County Police say that an investigation revealed that a Hispanic male injured the victim using broken bottles and then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The suspect is described as being between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and weighing about 140 pounds.
