McShea, formerly of Rockville Centre

Christina McShea (nee Elstob) of Buckingham, Pa. died on Oct. 13 in Doylestown Hospital.  She was 79 years old.

  Born in Hempstead, McShea resided in Rockville Centre for 37 years before moving to Buckingham, Pa. 17 years ago.

  McShea was formerly employed as an administrative assistant with the Diocese of Rockville Centre for many years before retiring.  A member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church of Buckingham, she attended Mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa National Shrine and St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church in Jamison.  She attended classes at Del Val College, enjoyed reading, bird watching and was an avid walker.

  She was the beloved wife of the late John R. McShea, devoted mother of William J. McShea and wife Leah, Mary Elise Smith and husband Field, Brian A. McShea, Anne Marie McShea, John M. McShea and wife Laurie, Allison A. Zimmon and husband Daniel, Patricia M. Hammond and husband Douglas. She was the dear sister of Andrew Elstob and wife Carol, Margaret Golden and husband Joseph, Winifred Ringers and husband Denny, Vincent Elstob and wife Louise. McShea is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, in Doylestown, Pa. on Oct. 17.  Interment followed on Oct. 18 in Greenview Cemetery in Uniondale.
